Bourdais: “Big desire for revenge”

Sébastien, what can you tell us about your crew, that of the Peugeot #3?
The pairs have been changed. I find myself with Simon (Pagenaud) and Pedro (Lamy). I am very happy because, when I learned of Simon?s arrival, it was my wish to ride with him. We understand each other well, we're pretty good friends. He has a good feeling, good feedback from the car. I believe that we will have a very strong crew with Pedro, who is the crew's all-risk insurance. It?s a logical choice.

You are going to ride at Sebring: the opportunity to prepare the 24 Hours of Le Mans ?
Everything that precedes the 24 Hours is a bit like preparing for this race. It would be a good thing to win the 12 Hours of Sebring, an event that passed through our fingers last year. All races will be a dress rehearsal for what we want to achieve at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

How will you approach this edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans?
With a lot of frustration and a big desire for revenge, compared to last year. It's a race that seemed too well off, too promised. At Le Mans, nothing is promised. There are only people who want to win. It is then the race and the mechanics which decide their winner. This was the case last year. I hope to be in the right combination and the right car this year.

Will the Peugeot 908 be the car to beat this year?
I think it will be more open. It?s hard to give predictions before witnessing a first confrontation. We know that we have a high-performance package. The team did not rest on its laurels. Everyone remained very focused. We tried to improve where we had shortcomings, to make the car even more reliable and improve performance. We'll see what happens and where we stand. Those are the Aston Martin which will allow us to benchmark ourselves, because they were already very efficient last year.
