ByKolles-Burst Esport on pole for the Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans

After the GTE, it was the LMPs who set off to attack the time with, at stake, the pole position of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual. Make no mistake, for a simracer, this is the holy grail.

And it was a little surprise that we witnessed, since the pole position went to Jernej Simončič, who shares the seat of the ByKolles-Burst Esport car with Jesper Pedersen, Esteban Guerrieri and Tom Dillmann.

The Slovenian precedes Arne Schoonvliet by 0 »223, who defends the interests of the E-Team WRT alongside Dries Vanthoor, Kelvin van der Linde and Fabrice Cornelis. Followed at 0 »420 and 0 »525 Devin Braune (2 Seas Motorsport) and Jack Keithley (Rebellion Williams Esports #3).

>>>The entry list<<

The top five is completed by the big favorite for this event, the No. 20 of Team RedLine at the wheel of which we find Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Atze Kerkhof and Greger Huttu.

Note that the first 13 are grouped together in less than a second. Among the tenors, Stoffel Vandoorne (Veloce Esports n°16), sixth, is the first pro driver in the ranking. A performance that deserves to be highlighted. As a reminder, the Belgian has just won the Formula E Race at Home Challenge.

The two Toyotas follow each other in 17th and 18th places, the advantage going to the No. 8, while Simon Pagenaud set the 27th fastest time for Team Penske. As a reminder, the American team is the only one, with United Autosports, not to have used at least one simracer.

See you tomorrow at 14:30 p.m. on AUTOhebdo.fr for the start of the live and a scheduled departure at 15 p.m.
