Chatin will replace Giovinazzi at rookie tests

Paul-Loup Chatin will have the satisfaction of being able to drive the Audi R18 in the rookie tests of WEC organized in Bahrain on Sunday, November 20. The 2014 champion ofELMS who defended the colors of Panis Barthez Compétition this year will replace GP2 Series leader Antonio Giovinazzi who will be unavailable due to a clash of dates with the final of his discipline.

The 25-year-old Frenchman who returned to Signatech within DC Racing will therefore evolve with Pipo Derani and Gustavo Menezes qui ont également été sélectionnés pour piloter respectivement la Toyota TS050 Hybrid et la Porsche 919 Hybrid. Yannick Dalmas sera réquisitionné pour évaluer la vue de l’habitacle sur les trois LMP1-H.

The test field should be completed by ByKolles Racing and five teams entered in LMP2, whileAston Martin et Ferrari will represent the GTE category. Alex Lynn will ride in particular on a Vantage. Salih Yoluc and Euan Hankey, winners of the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup with TF Sport, will also make the trip.

G-Drive Racing will field Felix Serralles and Tom Jackson in its Oreca 05. RGR Sport by Morang has also confirmed the presence of Pato O’Ward and Will Owen in its Ligier JS P2.
