The American will be present in the category GTE Pro, and thus becomes the sixth manufacturer lined up alongsideAston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, and Porsche. “Seeing a brand as steeped in history and success as Corvette Racing join our already strong line-up of manufacturers means an even higher level of competition in our LMGTE category, and even more excitement on track for the thousands of Chinese fans who will go to the race », ad Gérard Neveu, the director general of the WEC.
Mark Kent, Director of Competition for Chevrolet, is won over by this unprecedented participation. “Competing in the Shanghai race gives us an additional opportunity to benchmark ourselves against the big manufacturers and big teams in the FIA WEC. »
The names of the drivers will be revealed later. We currently know that the classic yellow color will be replaced by a livery called Redline. These gray and red colors correspond to the versions of Corvette marketed in China for several months.
