Davidson: “The competition continues”

By completing a lap of the Imola circuit in 1:31:736, Anthony Davidson was the fastest in qualifying for the 6 Hours of Imola. After Sebring, it is the second pole for the Briton and the Peugeot 908 this season. The first lioness is ahead of Marcel Fässler's n°18 Audi R1 TDI by six tenths, and the sister car entrusted to Stéphane Sarrazin by nine. Unsurprisingly, the second car from the firm with the rings completes the leading quartet.

“It was a very good ride, underlines Anthony Davidson. It?s always good to be in pole position, particularly on this track, where we will be faced with heavy traffic. But the race will be long. We proved the car was fast. The competition between Peugeot and Audi continues. Since the start of the season, it has always been very close. It will be the same tomorrow. »

With Davidson's Peugeot n°7-Bourdais which is respectively ahead of the Audi n°1 of Fässler-Bernhard, the Peugeot n°8 of Sarrazin-Minassian and the Audi n°2 of McNish-Kristensen, the start of the 6 Hours of Imola promises tomorrow at 12 p.m. Provided that the spectacle offered by the two brands lives up to that offered three weeks ago at Le Mans.
