Good start for Oreca

The crew of the No. 908 Peugeot 10 HDI FAP Oreca finished the free practice session in seventh place behind the official Peugeots and the Audis.

La Peugeot 908 HDI FAP Oreca took the lead at the start of practice, but the LMP1 diesels quickly regained the advantage over one lap. Nevertheless, the No. 10 finished in a satisfactory seventh place with a time of 3:30:096 (+2:110).

Loïc duval, the first Oreca rider to set a significant time, is satisfied with the behavior and performance of his machine. “I quickly found the car we had at the end of the Test Day. Our Peugeot is relatively easy to drive and the pace came naturally. I'm really happy with the behavior of the car. Obviously, there are still a few points to refine, but the basis is very good. »

“I was a little surprised to have the best time after an hour of testing,” adds the Oreca driver. “The track is still a little dirty, maybe that’s an advantage for us? We know it won't last, but it's always good to be at such a pace with a nice car. »
