Porsche will offer its 911 RSR specific liveries for 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019 (June 15-16). For the final of the Super-Season, the German brand, crowned among the Manufacturers in GTE Pro at Spa, will modify the colors of its two 911s entered year-round in WEC (No. 91 Bruni – Lietz – Makowiecki and No. 92 Estre – Christensen – Vanthoor), with a gold band replacing the traditional red.
A sign which thus celebrates the Manufacturers' crown, and which will also be relevant for the future champion crew among the Drivers, the title having to be played out between Estre – Christensen and Bruni – Lietz.
In addition to this change, Porsche will pay a new tribute to the Brumos team, as had been the case at the 24 Hours of Daytona and at the 12 Hours of Sebring in IMSA earlier in the year. The colors of the winning structure four times at Daytona will be worn by the two “American” 911 RSRs No. 93 of Earl Bamber – Nick Tandy – Patrick Pilet and No. 94 of Mathieu Jaminet – Sven Müller – Dennis Olsen.
“In 2018, our cars featured a special design (the Pink Pig liveries for n°92 and Rothmans for n°91) and gave us a brilliant double at Le Mans, recalls Fritz Enzinger, Vice President Motorsport of Porsche. We hope to achieve a similar result this year. »
Ford Chip Ganassi Racing unveiled its special liveries yesterday for the last official WEC race of the Ford GT, each livery inspired by previous successes of the blue oval brand.
