Never before has a film dealing with motorsport received such critical success at the prestigious Oscars. The 92nd film awards ceremony, organized in Los Angeles on Sunday February 9, allowed “ Le Mans 66” (Ford v. Ferrari in the United States) to win two statuettes.
The film directed by James Mangold won the prizes for best sound editing and best editing. In these categories he beats heavyweights like “Stars Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, “1917” or “Once upon a time in Hollywood”.
The work narrating the adventure of Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles at the 24 1966 Hours of Le Mans against Ferrari has stored more than 100 million dollars in revenue at the American box office, while the film remains on display in France, almost three months after its release.
