Thanks to a lap completed in 1'48"804, the Rebellion R13 n°1 of Nato-Menezes-Senna set the best time in the second free practice session for the Texas round of the WEC.
The Swiss car was 0”654 ahead of Toyota n ° 8 of Buemi-Nakajima-Hartley, while the second TS050 Hybrid, the n°7 of Conway-Lopez-Kobayashi is still behind, in seventh place, 2”381 from the reference mark.
The #07 Oreca 29 of Racing Team Nederland (Van Eerd-De Vries-Van der Garde) signed the third best absolute time, the best in LM P2, in 1'49"863. Followed by United Autosports (Di Resta-Hanson-Albuquerque) and Jackie Chan DC Racing (Aubry-Stevens-Tung).
In GTE Pro, Porsche took the lead thanks to Christensen-Estre's No. 92 (2'01"716). The reigning world champions are ahead of Sorensen-Thiim (Aston Martin Vantage AMR n°95) and Bruni-Lietz (Porsche n°91). The best Ferrari, the n°51 of Calado-Pier Guidi, concedes 0”7 to the n°92.
Finally, in GTE Am, the #77 Porsche from Campbell-Ried-Pera confirms its good disposition, the top three being completed by the #98 Aston Martin (Turner-Dalla Lana-Gunn) and the Ferrari 488 GTE n °70 (Ishikawa-Cozzolino-Beretta).
