LM P2 crews – No rule change!

Yesterday, the FIA World Council report announced a change to the LM P2 sporting regulations, both in WEC whether ELMS. This stipulated that from 2021, two-pilot crews would be prohibited and that each trio should include at least one Bonze pilot or two Silver pilots.

An announcement greeted with astonishment by many of the players in the discipline present this weekend in Monza, scene of the penultimate round of the European Le Mans Series 2020.

Competitors finally received a notification this morning from the organizers asking them not to take this rule change into account. Both in WEC and ELMS, in LM P2, each trio must therefore always be composed of at least one Silver or Bronze driver.

The only new thing comes from the establishment of an LM P2 Pro Am classification for crews using a Bronze driver and the organization of a dedicated podium.
