Promising tests for Porsche

The Porsche 919 Hybrid ont dominé le Prologue en signant le meilleur temps dans chaque séance d’essais du WEC contested on Paul-Ricard (Var). It is Brendon Hartley who finished with the best time of the weekend with a time of 1'37"4 achieved during the last session. The German LMP1 completed 2197 km at the end of these two days of testing.

“We had no problems with either car and received positive feedback from our drivers.”, noted Fritz Enzinger, LMP1 vice-president of Porsche. “We will only be able to judge the level of the peloton at Silverstone, but this Prologue allows us to have a first glimpse of the grid. »

“These tests were positive for us. We hadn't really looked at the high downforce package before we got here.", confirmed Mark Webber. “These tests were really productive,” added Romain Dumas. “We tried different settings and found we were better than last year. Despite the rules on fuel consumption, we are almost as fast as in 2015.”
