Ferrari will not come to Le Mans

Luca di Montezemolo is a man of passion but also a man of reason. Also, when he came to Le Mans to give the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, he had actually confirmed that Ferrari could be interested in this race, on the sole condition that the Team is not involved in several large-scale projects. To get back into the context of the time, it should be noted that Ferrari was considering leaving the Formula 1 if Max Mosley did not give in on several important points.

From now on, Ferrari is once again firmly anchored in Formula 1. From then on, the appearance of a “Le Mans project” within the Scuderia. Luca di Montezemolo made it clear to Ferrari supporters: “ Le Mans is fantastic. I'm really fascinated by this race. But to race there, you have to work for months to prepare, do tests, develop a good car. However, it is impossible to reach the top level by only being half-involved in two projects. But we have to look into it, because Le Mans is fantastic. Sooner or later we will come back with an official car. »
