Ford unveils its tribute liveries for Le Mans

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing has revealed the liveries of the four Ford GTs which will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTE Pro for what will be the car's last official appearance in the WEC.

Ford unveils its tribute liveries for Le Mans

For his “goodbye” to the World ChampionshipEndurance and 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford will pay tribute to its history on June 15 and 16 in Sarthe, in the form of historic liveries on the Ford GTs entered in the GTE Pro category.

The No. 66 which will be entrusted to Olivier Pla, Stefan Mücke and Billy Johnson will sport the colors of Bruce's GT40 McLaren and Chris Amon in 1966 while the #67 of Priaulx – Tincknell – Bomarito will do the same with the livery of the 40 GT1967 of Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt.

 

 

 

Sébastien’s #68 Ford Bourdais – Dirk Müller – Joey Hand will be clad in the almost current colors of the Ford GT, with the livery affixed to their 2016 car. Finally the No. 69 of Scott Dixon – Ryan Briscoe – Richard Westbrook will pay homage to the Ford GT40 second in 1966 of Hulmes – Miles, during the American brand’s hat-trick.

 

 

 

Note that the No. 85 Ford GT – Keating Motorsports, entered in GTE Am, has also seen its colors confirmed. The car will be driven by Ben Keating, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Felipe Fraga.
