Gabriel Aubry is back in WEC. After a year in IMSA with Tower Motorsport with whom he won Petit Le Mans, the 23-year-old Frenchman will once again start in the World ChampionshipEndurance. It will not be in prototype, but in GT with the Spirit of Race team alongside Franck Dezoteux and Pierre Ragues in a 100% French crew.
“I am happy to return to the WEC in a structure like Spirit of Race supported by AF Corse, the French driver told us since Daytona. The 24 Hours of Le Mans has always been my goal and I am happy to be able to participate in it for the fifth time in my career. It's quite a challenge to start in GT, but I'm sure that with my experience and that of the team, I will be able to perform and help my teammates. »
Last year, Gabriel Aubry took part in three rounds of the WEC as a substitute: the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsport, as well as the 6 Hours of Bahrain with Richard Mille Racing Team . This will be the third season as a starter for the Saint-Germain-en-Laye native.
