Greaves celebrates LMP2 victory

The start of the race was led by the Strakka Racing HPD ARX 01-dn°42. But the Leventis-Watts-Kane crew retired in the middle of the night, leaving the field open to the #41 Greaves Motorsport Zytek of Ojjeh-Lombard-Kimber Smith. The British prototype finished ahead of the #26 Oreca Signatech Nissan and the #5 Lola Level 33 Motorsports.

Tom Kimber-Smith, who won for the LMP2 category for his third participation, is delighted with the race achieved by his team who completed a faultless race. “It’s a splendid result for the team”, comments the Briton. “They worked really hard, but the car didn't have a single problem: none and no punctures. »

Tom Kimber-Smith was also impressed by the race pace of his teammate Olivier Lombard, who was competing in his first edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. “It’s an extraordinary moment for me to win (the category) at Le Mans at only 20 years old”, rejoices the Frenchman. “I thank the team for the trust placed in me. »
