H+2: Audi n°7 already several laps behind

The race for victory already seems to have lost a contender while the track is almost dry. The #18 Audi R7 of Tréluyer-Fässler-Lotterer lost six laps following turbo problems blocking the LMP1 in the garage for more than a quarter of an hour.

The three manufacturers are fighting for first place. Brendon Hartley (Porsche n°1) is pursued by Audi n°8 of Loïc duval and Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°6 Mike conway. The second Japanese LMP1 driven by Sébastien Buemi On the other hand, it is difficult to keep up.

The No. 919 2 Hybrid of Romain Dumas completes the top five, half a minute from the lead of the race. Duval changed his tires to slicks shortly before the start of the third hour of the race and slipped to fifth position behind the second 919 Hybrid. Hartley imitates the Frenchman the next round.

Manor regained the lead in LMP2 with Roberto Merhi at the wheel of the No. 05 Oreca 44, which has more than ten seconds on its closest competitors. THE Alpine fell in the standings after losing time during their first stops.

Frédéric Makowiecki retains the lead in GTE Pro in the no. 911 92 RSR, ahead of the Ferrari #69 of Richard Westbrook and the #51 Ferrari of James Calado. The 911 RSRs dominate in GTE Am. Patrick Long leads the category with the #88 from Abu Dhabi-Proton.
