The No. 5 Toyota remains at the head of the race at Spa, ahead of the No. 8 Audi following the misfortunes of the Porsches.

H+2: the No. 5 Toyota against the No. 8 Audi

Anthony Davidson who took over from Sébastien Buemi est en tête de la course à Spa-Francorchamps (Belgique) au bout de deux heures de course. La Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°2 a profité des malheurs de la concurrence pour dispose d’une demi-minute d’avance sur l’Audi R18 n°8 de Loïc duval also spared from problems.

Malgré des soucis sur son système de récupération d’énergie, la Porsche n°2 de Romain Dumas pointait au troisième rang à un tour des leaders avant d’être reprise par la Toyota n°6 de Kamui Kobayashi who lost time following contact with Mike conway with an LMP2 penalized with a drive through.

The #1 Porsche and the #7 Audi fell in the peloton. The 919 Hybrid suffered two successive punctures at the front left while the R18 returned to the pits following a broken bottom.

The No. 05 Manor Oreca 44 driven by James Jakes took the lead in LMP2 over the No. 26 G-Drive Racing car now driven by Nathanaël Berthon. L'Alpine A460 n°36 of Stéphane Richelmi remains in third position.

AF Corse continues to dominate the GTE Pro with the Ferrari n°51 by Gianmaria bruni preceding n°71 by Sam Bird. L'Aston Martin Jonathan Adam's #97 Vantage now completes the provisional podium ahead of Billy Johnson's #66 Ford GT. The No. 95 Vantage of Nicki Thiim retired after rolling following contact with the Gibson 015S of Simon Dolan entered for G-Drive Racing. The No. 98 Vantage of Paul Dalla Lana leads the GTE Am.
