H20: the 908s maintain the gap

While everyone is waiting for rain on the Sarthe circuit, the drops do not disrupt the race, which goes like clockwork. For several hours, the first five cars have maintained their positions. The advantage goes to Peugeot , which places its first two 908s in the first two places. The third, crushed at the start of the race, climbs up the hierarchy hour after hour but will not be able to aim for better than a Top 5.

In LMP2, the Porsche RS Spyder from the Essex team works wonders. Leader in its category, the Elgaard-Poulsen-Collard crew is positioned tenth in the general classification. If the Porsche continues to display this level of reliability, it should have no problem taking victory in LM2, with Navi Team Goh's Porsche RS Spyder currently three laps behind.

In GT2, victory is now assured for sure Ferrari. The Italian brand has four F 430s at the top of the category rankings. The Ferrari's first opponent is the No. 8 Laviolette Spyker C85, driven notably by Tom Coronel. And the Ferrari in the lead is still that of Risi Competizione, with Mika Salo as driver with less than four hours to go.

In GT1, the results are very simple: there are only three cars left in the race, three Corvettes. The two Corvette Racing C6Rs lead the way, being on the same lap and fighting neck and neck for first place.
