H+21: the Audi – Peugeot duel resumes

Since the start of the race 24 Hours of Le Mans, endurance enthusiasts were not able to take part in many R15 duels? 908 under the tooth. Quickly separated by the safety cars, the German and French cars only crossed paths. Even when overtaking each other, the R15s and the 908s did not play a place in the race, due to one or more laps separating them.

And, if Audi took the lead in operations, it was because of the retirements or pit stops of the Peugeot 908. Thus, the duels between the two cars were not legion. Fortunately, Alex Wurz attacked to try to catch up with one of the two leading Audis. And, ?fortunately?, the second Audi, the No.8, that of Andre Lotterer, pulled all the way at 11:34. Alex Wurz took the opportunity to catch up with him and, a few laps later, managed to overtake him. But the Austrian stopped at his stand and gave up the second place he had just stolen from Andre Lotterer.

Starting third, Alex Wurz continued the fast laps and reduced the gap on Andre Lotterer while at the front, Mike Rockenfeller, who succeeded Romain Dumas, seemed untouchable. But the 24 Hours of Le Mans sometimes has many surprises in store. Peugeot is witness to this. With less than three hours to go before the finish of the race, no conclusion can be drawn?
