H+23: Toyota close to goal

Toyota is on the verge of signing its first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Kazuki Nakajima retains the lead of the 84th edition less than an hour from the finish with almost half a minute ahead of the Porsche n°2 of Neel Jani who seems unable to catch up before the checkered flag.

The Japanese manufacturer should even place its second car on the podium, the No. 6 driven by Stéphane Sarrazin being comfortably installed in third place ahead of the two Audi R18s.

Alpine is also getting closer to success, its A460 n°36 led by Nicolas lapierre more than two minutes ahead of the No. 05 Oreca 26 from G-Drive Racing. The No. 01 SMP Racing BR37 in which Vitaly Petrov is currently riding is well on its way to completing the podium in the category.

Ford is crossing its fingers to win the GTE Pro for its return to Sarthe. Dirk Müller is leading the GTE Pro at the wheel of the No. 68, which seems poised to win its duel against the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari. The #62 Ferrari of the Team Corsa doesn't seem to want to take off from the lead in GTE Am either.
