H+3: Audi faces Toyota at Fuji

Audi and Toyota sont en lutte pour la tête de la course aux 6 Heures de Fuji à la mi-course. Lucas di Grassi occupe la première position sur la R18 n°8 avec une poignée de secondes d’avance sur la Toyota n°6 de Stéphane Sarrazin, mais le constructeur aux Anneaux ne possède plus qu’une LMP1 suite à l’abandon de la n°7 de Lotterer-Fässler-Tréluyer dont le système hybride est tombé en panne.

Porsche reste au contact des leaders, la 919 Hybrid n°1 de Mark Webber pointant au troisième rang à moins de 20 secondes de la tête de la course. Le top cinq est complété par la TS050 Hybrid n°5 de Sébastien Buemi and the No. 2 Porsche of Marc Lieb suffering from significant understeer.

Strakka Racing leads the LMP2 with Lewis Williamson at the wheel of the Gibson 015S ahead of the #05 Manor Oreca 44 driven by Richard Bradley and theAlpine n°36 by Gustavo Menezes. The G-Drive Racing Oreca 05 driven by Alex Brundle is on the verge of the top three.

In GTE Pro, AF Corse is leading the way with the Ferrari n°71 by Sam Bird who is about ten seconds ahead ofAston Martin n°95 by Nicki Thiim. The Ford GTs follow less than half a minute behind. Mathias Lauda leads GTE Am in the #98 Vantage.
