H+4: Audi retains the lead

The R18s do not seem to want to make the slightest misstep to avoid a one-two finish for Audi in its last race in WEC. The #8 of Lucas di Grassi remains in the fight with the #7 of Benoît Tréluyer in Bahrain two hours from the finish, the two cars evolving on different strategies.

The fight is still in full swing in LMP2 with the No. 2 ESM Ligier JS P31 of Luis Felipe Derani at the controls. L'Alpine n°36 of Stéphane Richelmi in 2nd place sees the Oreca 05 of G-Drive Racing led by Alex Brundle return to its rearview mirrors. Filipe Albuquerque will also have the opportunity to fight at the front of the category with the Ligier JS P2 of the RGR Sprort by Morand running on new tires.

Marco Sorensen remains at the head of the GTE Pro at the wheel of theAston Martin n°95 with around 17 seconds ahead of the Ferrari n°51 by James Calado. The No. 488 F71 of Sam Bird moved up to 3rd in the category, overtaking the No. 67 Ford GT of Andy Priaulx.

The Porsche 911 RSRs still lead the GTE Am with Khaled Al Qubaisi in the lead in the #88 Abu Dhabi Proton Racing ahead of the KCMG of Wolf Henzler. The Collard-Perrodo-Aguas trio, which is racing in the No. 458 F53 in 3rd position in the category, is now certain to win the title, the retirement having been confirmed for the Aston Martin of Dalla Lana-Lamy-Lauda.
