H+4: The #7 Audi resists the #2 Porsche

If Romain Dumas threatens Benoît Tréluyer to take the lead at Silverstone, it's still the Porsche 919 Hybrid n°2 which is a few seconds ahead of Audi n°7. The winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans lost ground when he was hit by the Ford GT of Marino Franchitti causing him to spin and found himself around fifteen seconds behind the leader.

It is now the Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°6 of Stéphane Sarrazin which completes the provisional podium, the sister car n°5 having had a puncture on the right rear. Kazuki Nakajima caused the entry of the safety car, multiple debris having been deposited. The second Japanese LMP1 is still in the pits.

Bruno Senna took the lead in LMP2 at the wheel of the RGR Sport by Morand Ligier JS P2 against the G-Drive Racing Oreca 05 now driven by Nathanaël Berthon. L'Alpine A460 n°36 of Stéphane Richelmi rose to third position.

La Ferrari n°71 of AF Corse retains control of the GTE Pro with Sam Bird ahead ofAston Martin Vantage n°95 by Marco Sorensen. The second F888 GTE from James Calado's Italian team moved up to third place ahead of the Ford GTs of Billy Johnson and Marino Franchitti. Abu Dhabi Proton Racing's 911 RSR remains in the lead in GTE Am with David Heinemeier-Hansson at the wheel.
