The interlude Alpine will not have lasted. Toyota Gazoo Racing, avec la GR10 n°7 de Kamui Kobayashi – Jose Maria Lopez – Mike conway, returned to the lead of the 6 Hours of Monza, third round of the WEC 2021.

One hour from the finish, the Japanese Hypercar regained the advantage in the fifth hour after the stoppage of theAlpine A480 n°36, which had spent a time in the lead after stopping on the track and returning to the pits following a puncture for the n°7.

Kamui Kobayashi is currently more than a minute ahead of Matthieu Vaxivière. The overall podium is still completed by the No. 07 Oreca 22 – United Autosports of Filipe Albuquerque, leader in LM P2 ahead of the No. 31 Oreca – Team WRT of Robin Frijns, fourth overall.

The Glickenhaus No. 709 of Romain Dumas, which stopped after brake problems, is in 5th place.

En GTE Pro, Kévin Estre maintient la Porsche 911 n°92 en tête avec plus de 6″ d’avance sur Alessandro Pier Guidi (Ferrari No. 51). No change in GTE Am, with the #83 Ferrari – AF Corse, driven at this time by Nicklas Nielsen.

If the Glickenhaus no. 708 has retired, the Toyota no. 8 remains in action in the depths of the general classification.
