ILMC: Oak Pescarolo n°24 withdraws from Spa

After shining during the opening round of the ILMC at Sebring, the team newly based in the technopark of the 24 Hours circuit is keen to confirm at Spa. However, it will only be able to count on two cars instead of three. After the crash suffered by the No. 24 last Sunday during the 24 Hours test day, Jacques Nicolet and Richard Hein will not be able to be present on the slide in the Belgian Ardennes. The reason : The too late delivery of spare parts given the very short time of one week between the Test Day and the departure of the cars for Spa.

The General Director of Oak Racing François Sicard explains:

“Unfortunately, the consequences of the #24 car going off the track at the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans require us to declare our first package. We were already in pieces and we didn't manage to get all the items delivered on time. Even if the car could be ready, we would not have had enough spare parts to manage a race weekend like Spa in good conditions. »

With the No. 15 in LMP1 led by the trio Matthieu Lahaye-Guillaume Moreau-Pierre Ragues and the No. 35 of Andrea Barlesi, Patrice Lafargue and Frédéric da Rocha in LMP2, the Oak Racing team, even diminished, will be one to watch closely. near Belgium.
