Champion WEC 2015 in LM P2, Julien Canal was unable to put his title back on the line last year. After having defended the interests of Greaves Motorsport in ELMS, the 34-year-old from Le Mans is preparing to make his return to the World Championship this year.Endurance.
This afternoon, Rebellion Racing revealed the identity of the Silver drivers who will wear its colors this season. Julien Canal will share the wheel of the No. 07 Oreca 31 with Frenchman Nicolas Cheers and… the Brazilian Bruno Senna, for an original association to say the least!
On the No. 13, the Swiss Mathias Beche and the Brazilian Nelson Piquet Jr will be supported by the Dane David Heinemeier Hansson. “Having won the WEC in 2015, my desire to return was strong, underlines Canal. And I wanted to do it with a successful team. I can’t wait to ride the Oreca 07.”
Here is the three-time category winner 24 Hours of Le Mans ready to reclaim his crown.
