If the information has not been confirmed by Jack Leconte's team, the latest "spotter guide" for the 6 Hours of Spa, first round of the 2018-2019 Super-Season of WEC, mentions the presence of Julien Canal on the Ligier JS P217 of Larbre Compétition, alongside Erwin Creed and Romano Ricci.
LM P2 was initially to be entrusted to the last two cities, accompanied by the Brazilian Fernando Rees. But the latter had recently confirmed his absence this season with the team based in Val-de-Vienne, following the end of the team's collaboration with a sponsor.
Julien Canal should therefore be placed as a first-class replacement, he who had bagged the GTE-Am title in 2012 with Larbre, as well as three victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GT1 / GTE-Am.
