Kenta Yamashita placed by Toyota at High Class Racing

Le Japonais Kenta Yamashita a été retenu par le Toyota Gazoo Racing pour intégrer dans le cadre de son « WEC Challenge program » the High Class Racing structure for the 2019-2020 WEC campaign.

The current Kondo Racing driver in Super Formula and Team LeMans in Super GT will drive the Danish team's Oreca 07 alongside Anders Fjordbach and Mar Patterson, the car having recently been revealed.

The champion F3 Japan 2016 hopes to follow the example of its compatriots Kazuki Nakajima et Kamui Kobayashi, passed through Toyota's Young Drivers program and is now a regular LM P1 driver on the TS050 Hybrid.

Gazoo Racing is following several drivers to potentially join its program Endurance in the future, which will pass through the Hypercars category from 2020-2021, on a car based on the GR Sport concept.
