Kronos Racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans?

Responsible for the preparation of Peugeot 306 GTI winners of the 24 Hours of Spa in 1999 and 2000, the Kronos Racing team wants to reconnect with endurance. Marc Van Dalen?s team, which has particularly distinguished itself in recent years in Rallies, both in IRC and in WRC, seeks to take part in the next 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will start at 15 p.m. on June 11.

The chosen frame is a Lola-Aston Martin identical to the one which won the Le Mans Series crown in 2009. The program is currently structured solely around the double round of the Sarthe clock, provided that the ACO accepts the invitation request from the Belgian team. However, LMS or ILMC sleeves could be added, depending on the budget found. When it comes to drivers, only Vanina Ickx has been made official for the moment.

“We are very motivated to take on this challenge, declare Jean-Pierre Mondron and Marc Van Dalen, the bosses of Kronos Racing. Le Mans is a legendary event and participating in it would be a great privilege, especially in LMP1 with such a high-performance car. We have wanted to return to the circuit in endurance events at the highest level for a long time and the opportunity that presents itself with Vanina Ickx is exceptional. We are still at the first stage of discovering the car and this new environment, but our team has proven in the past to have the capacity to adapt and diversify. All official steps have been taken and we now calmly await the verdict of the selection committee. »
