Porsche's tribute to the 919 Hybrid

Porsche has published a video in the form of a tribute to the 919 Hybrid which has given the Stuttgart manufacturer a great track record.

Porsche paid a vibrant tribute to the 919 Hybrid which was withdrawn from competition at the end of the 2017 season WEC following the withdrawal of the Stuttgart manufacturer. With this hybrid LMP1 powered by a 2.0l 4-cylinder, the German prototype has dominated the last three years of theEndurance notably by winning the last three editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, allowing Porsche to remain the most successful manufacturer in this event with 19 successes.

The Porsche 919 Hybrid has also won six world titles (three Drivers and three Manufacturers) during the last three WEC seasons, notably benefiting from the double points offered in Sarthe.

Porsche took a bold gamble by focusing on battery technology which offered a cumulative power of almost 1000hp.
