The BMW M8 GTE reveals its colors

If photos and videos of the M8 GTE had already been released, it was during the Frankfurt Motor Show that the Bavarian firm unveiled its latest creation adorned with its definitive dress.

The BMW 8 Series Coupé has not yet been released, but from next season, its racing version will rage on the tracks of the World ChampionshipEndurance and IMSA, in GTE Pro and GTLM. Although she has been driving since July 1, the beautiful German had not yet been seen with her new war paint. It's been done for a few minutes and its presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The visual rendering is most successful. The Munich offering an aggressive look, in line with the current benchmark GTEs. Under the hood, we find a 8-liter twin-turbo V4 developing around 500 hp, mated to a six-speed gearbox. Emphasis was placed on reliability and efficiency. Measuring 2046 mm long and 1220 mm wide, it weighs 1220 kg. Certain data may change depending on the BoP governing the category.

The big meeting of the 2018 season will obviously be the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the propeller firm will make its first official appearance since 2011.
