FIA confirms convergence between Hypercar and LMDh
The FIA World Council which was held this Friday in Geneva (Switzerland) approved the general principles of a convergence platform between Hypercar and LMDh. The two types of cars will be grouped into a single peak category for the WEC.
The LMDh cars will be built on a new chassis which will be common with the WEC and theIMSA.
The organizers will ensure that they have the same performance window by adjusting the performance of the powertrain, the aerodynamic characteristics and even the weight.
The FIA also validated the calendar for the 2020-2021 season without making any changes.
