The WEC final will finally take place in Sao Paulo

The FIA today validated the change to the calendar requested by the organizers of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo. The Interlagos meeting, initially scheduled for August 31 between 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 6 Hours of Austin, was finally moved to November 30 in order to ensure optimal promotion of the event which could suffer from insufficient media exposure by the Football World Cup which is held in June and in July.

This change is not without consequences for the Championship since Sao Paulo will now host the season final instead of Bahrain. The Sakhir circuit was to be the final round of the calendar, taking place on November 15.
