The #67 Ford GT loses its fourth place in GTE Pro

Fourth under the checkered flag in the GTE Pro category, the No. 67 Ford GT of Harry Tincknell – Tony Kanaan – Andy Priaulx, was the biggest loser in the salvo of penalties applied at the end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2018.

Eleven penalty rounds (to compensate for the running time missing from the minimum six hours according to the sporting regulations) were inflicted on the car, Tony Kanaan having only driven 5h16'24" during these 24 Hours.

The No. 67 Ford GT thus falls to 12th place in GTE Pro, leaving the No. 7 Corvette C3.R in Magnussen – Garcia – Rockenfeller 4th and Ferrari 488 n°52 – AF Corse de Derani – Vilander – Giovinazzi 5th.

For the same reason (minimum running time not reached by a driver), the No. 69 Ford GT of Dixon – Briscoe – Westbrook takes two laps and 1'42" penalty, but which retains its 14th place in the category. The #60 Ginetta G1-LT-P5 takes six penalty laps.

The Oreca 07 n°28 – TDS Racing Duval – Perrodo – Vaxivière, 4th in LM P2 at the finish, is also sanctioned (1 lap and 1'18"), but for a different reason, François Perrodo having driven more than 4 hours over a period of six hours.
