The Ginetta G60-LT-P1 being tested at Paul Ricard

The Ginettas don't skimp on the preparation. After tests carried out at Motorland Aragon as well as at Spa Francorchamps, here is the British brand and Team LNT, entered for the 2019-2020 season of WEC, have just completed three days of testing on the Castellet circuit (Var), during which 1400 kilometers of driving were accumulated.

Charlie Robertson and Mike Simpson, official Ginetta drivers, as well as several other professional drivers were in action. At the end of these three preparatory test sessions, 3000 kilometers were covered by the G60-LT-P1 prototypes, before the Barcelona Prologue (July 23-24).

“The car was very fast and reliable in hot conditions at Paul Ricard, explains Lawrence Tomlinson, president of Ginetta. These are trials with important value before the Prologue. »

These preparations demonstrate the desire for the Ginetta – LNT duo to perform at the highest level this season, the Ginetta prototypes having been discreet since the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2018.

The G60-LT-P1s were then entered by CEFC TRSM Racing, the team, due to financial problems, having ultimately only competed in the double round of the clock in Sarthe last year during the 2018-2019 Super-Season .

While SMP Racing announced its withdrawal from the WEC last week, the LM P1 Ginettas still remain without a crew a few days before the Prologue, the English brand having however indicated that news would arrive very quickly on this subject.
