The Green GT H2 takes part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The DeltaWing is a UFO in the paddock of 24 Hours of Le Mans, as its lines are different from the other prototypes involved. The car developed by Highcroft Racing has this year the 56th stand reserved for experimental vehicles and has already shown good potential during the Test Day by running under 3'48. The ACO announced that the Green GT H2 project will replace the DeltaWing next year.

The particularity of this vehicle lies in its technology using the fuel cell where two electric motors offer a power equivalent to 400kW or 544hp. The chassis was developed by Welter Racing. The first tests of the Green GT H2 will be carried out next month while its first public appearance is planned for the 6 Hours of Silverstone on August 25. Christian Pesactori, former official Audi driver, will be in charge of carrying out the first tests of the vehicle. Click on this link to access the Green GT H2 photo gallery.

Our special correspondents will return in detail on the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the next issue of AUTOhebdo, available from Tuesday in digital version for iPad, PC and Mac, and from Wednesday on newsstands. The official program for the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be available digitally from June 6 and in paper version from June 11.
