Lone Star Le Mans, or the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas, sixth round of the World ChampionshipEndurance FIA, takes place this Sunday, September 1 in Austin (Texas).
Antonio Giovinazzi, who set the best time in Hyperpole this Saturday, will start from pole position at the wheel of the Ferrari 499P n°51. The front row is locked by the marque of Maranello since Robert Kubica will start alongside the Italian at the wheel of the 499P customer of AF Corse.
Earl Bamber (Cadillac) and Ferdinand Habsburg (Alpine) will start from the second row. In the third row, we will find Miguel Molina (Ferrari) and Frédéric Makowiecki (PorscheThe fourth row will be formed by the two BMW M Hybrid V8s, with René Rast followed by Marco Wittmann.
The first Toyota only appears in ninth place with n°7 with Mike conway at the wheel. Will Stevens will be alongside him in the No. 12 Hertz Team JOTA Porsche. The Peugeot 9X8 n°93 will start from 11th position with Nico Müller, accompanied by Brendon Hartley (Toyota) in the sixth row.
Matthieu Vaxiviere will start on the seventh line with theAlpine No. 36, followed by the championship-leading car, the No. 6 Porsche in which Laurens Vanthoor will be assigned to the start.
Stoffel Vandoorne (Peugeot) and Harry Tincknell (Proton Competition) will be together on the eighth row, while Phil Hanson (Hertz Team JOTA) and Edoardo Mortara (Lamborghini) will bring up the rear in the Hypercar category.
As for LMGT3, pole sitter Ian James (Heart of Racing Team) will lead the way ahead of Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames) and François Hériau (Vista AF Corse).
