Antonio Fuoco thought he had signed his fourth pole position in WEC this Friday. After Sebring and Le Mans last year then Imola this season, the Italian actually set the best time in Hyperpole at the 6 Hours of Spa.

Sa Ferrari 499P n°50 which he shares with Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen was however disqualified both from the Hyperpole, but also from the first phase of qualifications, in the evening for an incorrect weight.

Pole position therefore goes for the second time this year to Matt Campbell, already in the lead at the 1812 km of Qatar, the opening round of the season. The Australian, at the wheel of the Porsche n°5, ahead of Alex Lynn (Cadillac). Second on the grid, the Briton here achieves the best result for the American manufacturer in the flying lap exercise in the WEC since it will be the first time that the V-Series.R will start from the front row in the World Championship. 'Endurance of the FIA.

Thanks to a very good Julien Andlauer, the No. 99 Proton Competition customer Porsche will start in 3th position ahead of the No. 12 Hertz Team JOTA and the No. 6 official Porsche. Which will therefore make four prototypes from the German brand in the first five positions on the grid this Saturday!

On the Ferrari side, it's a grimace as the No. 50 falls to 19th position, just ahead of the GT3s where Sarah Bovy placed the No. 85 Lamborghini of the Iron Dames in pole position. Initially second, the McLaren No. 95 United Autosports was also disqualified for the same reasons as the Ferrari and will start from last place on the grid. The BMW No. 46 of Valentino Rossi is promoted to the front line.
