The Ligier JS P3 completes the Onroak family

It was in the presence of Guy Ligier that Onroak Automotive officially lifted the veil on its latest creation Ligier JS P3 this Thursday on the sidelines of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The latter is expected to evolve in the series ELMS and Asian Le Mans Series or even in VdeV Endurance TV Shows where a copy of the LM P3 built in the Magny-Cours workshops (Nièvre) should be fielded by Graff Racing during the Estoril final next November.

Under the leadership of the design office, headed by Nicolas Clémençon, the development of the JS P3 focused in particular on ease of maintenance and control of component costs. Weighing 900 kg, thanks to the use of a carbon monocoque built in collaboration with HP Composites, the LM P3 prototype will carry a 8 hp Nissan V420 engine mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox from X-Trac. Rider comfort was also at the center of concerns, with a specific ventilation system designed with the Exa company.

“For me, the presence of Nissan is very important, comments Jacques Nicolet, boss of Onroak. It is a major partner in the world of Endurance. We are already working with them in LM P2 and we will continue in LM P3. We will be able to use the services of Olivier Pla (who drove for OAK Racing in 2014) which ensured the development of the JS P2, and which, thanks to Nissan's agreement, will ensure continuity for the development of the JS P3. »

The first examples should be delivered in September for a competition debut in October.
