The entry list for the 24 2017 Hours of Le Mans

The 24 Hours of Le Mans disputées les 17 et 18 juin devraient voir la lutte pour la victoire se disputer entre Porsche et Toyota. Si la marque allemande engagera two 919 Hybrids with their crews engaged in WEC Jani-Lotterer-Tandy and Bamber-Bernhard-Hartley, its Japanese rival will line up a 3rd model in Sarthe, but also in Spa with Stéphane Sarrazin in particular, potentially joined by Ryo Hirakawa. José-Maria Lopez has been confirmed next to Mike conway et Kamui Kobayashi for the WEC season.

The LM P1 category will be completed by the presence of the CLM P1/01 – Nismo of Team By Kolles which records the arrival of Robert Kubica for the WEC season and therefore the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Pole, seen in the private LM P1 during the Bahrain Rookie Tets, will be supported in particular by the Briton Oliver Webb.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans will allow the Ligier JS P217 and the Dallara P217 to compete against the Oreca 07 at world level. The latter will be notably led by the Alpine Signatech A470 Alpine Matmut. Rebellion Racing, G-Drive Racing, Graff Racing, Jackie Chan DC Racing, Manor will also enter two examples.

The Ligier clan, from which RGR Sport is absent, will be represented by IDEC Sport Racing, Panis-Barthez Compétition, Algarve Pro Racing, Tockwith Motorsports and United Autosports, all fromELMS. Chris Hoy will drive the Eurasia Motorsport Ligier JS P217. The Dallara of SMP Racing and Racing Team Nederand (with the trio van Eerd – Barrichello – Lammers) will be there. Designated by theIMSA, Keating Motorsports will field its Riley Mk30-Gibson.

On the GTE Pro side, defending champion Chip Ganassi Racing will return with four Ford GTs. The main novelty in the American clan comes from the arrival of the Brazilian Luis Felipe Derani on the No. 67 for the Silverstone and Spa rounds in addition to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The ESM driver in IMSA will compete alongside Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell.

The winning trio in 2016 Joey Hand – Dirk Müller – Sébastien Bourdais will be renewed and will drive the No. 68 while Stefan Mücke – Olivier Pla – Billy Johnson will share the No. 66 in Sarthe, just like at Silverstone and Spa. The last Ford GT No. 69 will be entrusted to the crew Ryan Briscoe – Richard Westbrook – Scott Dixon.

Two official Corvette C7.Rs for Garcia-Magnussen and Gavin-Milner will face their American cousins. AF Corse will keep two Ferrari 488 GTE, including one entrusted to Bird-Rigon, while Porsche will field its two new 911 RSRs with Makowiecki-Lietz and Christensen on the second car. Aston Martin will remain with two Vantage GTEs while Risi Competizione will put an F488 GTE on the track.

Ferraris will still be well represented in GTE Am. Clearwater Racing will field two F488s like AF Corse and Scuderia Corsa. Dempsey-Proton Racing, Proton Competition and Gulf Racing will enter their 911 RSR. Aston Martin Racing, TF Sport and Beechdean-AMR will enter their Vantages, while JMW Motorsport remains with a Ferrari 458 Italia.

Expected in GTE Pro, the Larbre Compétition team will finally be present in GTE Am, with a Corvette C7.R notably entrusted to Ricky Taylor, recent winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona.

Only two cars were placed on the reserve list: the #217 Ligier JS P46-Gibson – RLR Msport in LM P2 and the #911 Porsche 94 RSR – Mentos-Proton Racing in GTE Am.
