Nissan GT-R LM Nismo captured in testing

As we announced to you in issue 1982 of AUTOhebdo, the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo will have a front engine and tires wider at the front than at the rear. The first photos of the future Japanese LMP1 were posted online on the Jalopnik website during a test session conducted at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas).

If the list of drivers is still unknown, the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo should have a twin-turbo gasoline V6 accompanied by an ERS-K (recovery of kinetic energy on the wheels) and an ERS- H (thermodynamic energy recovery of the turbo). Wheels should not exceed 17 inches in diameter. The Japanese brand will field two cars at the WEC and three prototypes 24 Hours of Le Mans (Sarthe) on June 13 and 14. The official presentation is expected to be made during the SuperBowl final on February 1.
