Three-way pass for Toyota in FP3 at Monza

Toyota Gazoo Racing maintains the advantage in FP3 at Monza, with José Maria Lopez still in great spirits on the Italian track with the #010 GR7.

Three-way pass for Toyota in FP3 at Monza

Three out of three for José Maria Lopez and Toyota GR010 n°7 of Toyota Gazoo Racing in free practice at Monza. The Argentinian set the best time in the last driving session before qualifying this Saturday in Lombardy, thus completing a hat-trick over all three sessions.

The driver of the Japanese Hypercar, associated with Mike conway et Kamui Kobayashi, has realised the reference lap in 1'36″137, improving its performance in FP2, and precedes sister car #8 of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley et Kazuki Nakajima more than a second.

The top three in Hypercar is completed by the Glickenhaus 007 n°708 of Olivier Pla – Pipo Derani – Gustavo Menezes, clocked at 1″5, and which precedes theAlpine A480 n°36 of Nicolas lapierre – André Négrão – Matthieu Vaxivière and the second Glickenhaus n°709 by Romain Dumas – Franck Mailleux – Richard Westbrook.

Stoffel Vandoorne, teammate of Sean Gelael and Tom Blomqvist, signed the best performance in LM P2, with the #07 Oreca 28 – Jota, with a top time in the category in 1'38"910, 0"216 ahead of the Oreca 07 n°22 – United Autosports d’Albuquerque – Hanson – Scherer.

Gianmaria Bruni, associated with Richard Lietz on the Porsche 911 RSR n°91, showed its fangs before the GTE Pro qualifying exercise, with a reference established in 1'46″253, more than three tenths ahead of the first Ferrari 488 GTE Evo n°51 – AF Corse from the Pier Guidi – Calado pair.

Nicklas Nielsen dominated the GTE Am at the wheel of the #488 Ferrari 83 GTE Evo – AF Corse, shared with François Perrodo and Alessio Rovera, with a best lap of 1'47″080. The session was neutralized under Full Course Yellow following the small performance of the Ligier JS P217 – ARC Bratislava at the first chicane.

Now on to qualifying from 18 p.m. in Italy.
