Porsche #2 wins at the Nürburgring

The No. 919 2 Hybrid of Bernhard-Bamber-Hartley won the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring. Porsche achieves a double with the No. 1 of Jani-Lotterer-Tandy who let the sister car take the lead during the last stop.

Porsche #2 wins at the Nürburgring

Porsche remporte les 6 Heures du Nürburgring (Allemagne) en signant un doublé. Si la 919 Hybrid n°1 de Jani-Lotterer-Tandy était en tête à un quart d’heure du drapeau à damier, elle a laissé la victoire à la voiture soeur n°2 de Bernhard-Hartley-Bamber en tête du Championnat après sa victoire aux 24 Hours of Le Mans en juin dernier. La Toyota n ° 7 of Conway-Kobayashi-Lopez completes the podium without being able to worry the German LMP1s. The No. 8 sister car of Buemi-Davidson-Nakajima ranks 4th after losing 5 laps at the start of the race following a fuel pump problem. Porsche signs its 15th victory at home in WEC and his 5th double.

Jackie Chan DC Racing dominated the LMP2 field with the #38 of Jarvis-Laurent-Pin Tung. The Oreca 07, which took second place in the general classification at the Sarthe double-clock, finished more than a minute ahead of the No. 31 Vaillante Rebellion from Canal-Senna-Albuquerque.

THEAlpine n°36 of Lapierre-Menezes-Rao completes the category podium after overtaking Nicolas lapierre on the No. 13 Vaillante Rebellion of Mathias Beche in the final laps. The LMP2 driven by Beche-Heinemeier Hansson-Derani finished 4th ahead of the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing of Cheng-Brundle-Gommendy.

AF Corse takes victory in GTE Pro with the Ferrari n°51 of Pier Guidi-Calado victorious with a good lead over the Porsche 911 RSRs. The #91 of Lietz-Makowiecki finished second ahead of the #92 of Christensen-Estre. L'Aston Martin No. 95 from Thiim-Sorensen takes 4th place in the category ahead of the Ford GTs, the No. 67 from Tincknell-Priaulx preceding the No. 66 from Mücke-Pla. The Americans waged a long battle with the No. 97 Vantage of Serra-Adam-Turner before definitively taking the advantage.

Dempsey-Proton Racing takes its first victory of the season in GTE Am with the #77 Porsche of Ried-Cairoli-Derani winning a few seconds ahead of the #54 Spirit of Race Ferrari of Flohr-Castellacci. Molina. The No. 98 Vantage of Dalla lana-Lamy-Lauda completes the podium in the category.
