The No. 6 Toyota wins at home

After his disillusionment with 24 Hours of Le Mans, Toyota signe sa première victoire de l’année en s’imposant à domicile aux 6 heures de Fuji avec la TS050 Hybrid n°6 de Kobayashi-Conway-Sarrazin, at the end of an event which did not suffer from any neutralization.

The Japanese manufacturer took the advantage at the end of the event by attempting a double stint for Kamui Kobayashi who won with less than two seconds ahead of the No. 8 Audi of Duval-Di Grassi-Jarvis, the second R18 of Lotterer-Tréluyer-Fässler having retired due to a mechanical problem.

Porsche complète le podium avec la 919 Hybrid n°1 de Webber-Hartley-Bernhard qui s’est classée à 17 secondes des vainqueurs. The Ford GTs scored a double in GTE Pro for their first success in WEC. Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell took the category victory in the #67 which preceded the #15 from Mücke-Pla by 66 seconds.
