After five years of participation in 24 Hours of Le Mans with its 908 Hdi-FAP and 908 program, marked by a victory in 2009 and two titles in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (2010 and 2011), Peugeot officially announced the termination of its sports program.

The Automobile Club de l?Ouest deeply regrets the departure of the French manufacturer while with the creation of the new World Championship?Endurance of the FIA ​​the future of the discipline promises to be more prestigious than ever.

However, the grids for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship promise to be sumptuous. This Wednesday, January 18 marks the closing date for registrations for these two competitions. Dozens of entrants, many major manufacturers who are friends of Le Mans, have applied, proof of the dynamics of automotive endurance.

The entry lists for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship will be revealed on February 2.
