The ACO offers itself a new organization

The Automobile Club de l?Ouest is evolving and reorganizing itself to better meet the expectations of its members, partners and spectators. The new organization will be based on four operational divisions. The “Le Mans Développement” center will have the mission of strengthening the marketing and commercial action of the ACO, both for 24 Hours of Le Mans, the World ChampionshipEndurance of the FIA ​​and other activities organized on the Le Mans circuits (events, driving courses, training, seminars, karting?). This “Le Mans Développement” department will also manage television rights. Patrick Maitrot, currently working at Eurosport International, will join the ACO from May to take over its management.

The “Esprit Le Mans” pole will bring together the corporate activities, communication, heritage as well as licensing and merchandising of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest. This division will be placed under the direction of Fabrice Bourrigaud, currently Marketing and Communications Director of the ACO. The “Le Mans Resort” center will ensure the reception of spectators and visitors to the Le Mans site. His mission will be to develop activities intended to reinforce the appeal of the Le Mans circuit during and outside the events. The services of the Organization and Infrastructure Department (DOEI) currently headed by Ghislain Robert will be attached to him. Ghislain Robert will take charge. The Sports division, under the direction of Vincent Beaumesnil, retains its current missions focused on competition, track activities, driving schools and training. This organization will be effective from July 1, 2013.
