Lamborghini is patient with the SC63

The Endurance World Championship is heading to Austin this weekend for its big return to the Texan circuit. A route that the Italian manufacturer knows well having conducted development tests of its Hypercar there at the end of 2023. The approach of this sixth round of 2024 is therefore an opportunity to take stock of the first season of the SC63.

It was on the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) that the Taurus completed the development phase of its prototype, at the end of 2023, before launching into the deep end of competition in March, during the 1 km of Qatar, opening handle WEC 2024. A Texan circuit where the LMDh transalpine rested its wheels at the end of July, a month before Lone Star Le Mans scheduled for this Sunday, September 1st. “ We drove to Austin in December. Last month we took part in the Michelin tests », Confirms Emmanuel Esnault, team manager of the Lamborghini Hypercar program.

This day was organized by the sole manufacturer of the Hypercar category with the aim of working on the new range of tires whose entry into competition is planned for 2026. Like the majority of other manufacturers (except Alpine and Isotta Fraschini), Lamborghini was also due to run the two previous days during tests organized at the initiative of Ferrari
