The year of revenge for Audi

During the first two editions of the WEC in 2012 and 2013, the British round of Silverstone smiled on the Audi R18s, with two successes for the Fässler trios? Tréluyer? Lotterer then McNish? Duval ? Kristensen. Last year, the German LM P1 prototypes suffered la loi des Toyota TS040Hybrid, who had achieved a double which opened the road to the world title at the end of the season.

“Audi is ready for the 2015 season. This year it will be more difficult than ever, explains Dr. Ullrich, head of Audi Motorsport. At the Prologue at Le Castellet (Var), we met our opponents for the first time in the 2015 season and we were able to see that everyone is well prepared even if no one has put all the cards on the table. Our goal is to win again at Silverstone, as we did in 2012 and 2013.”

To achieve this objective, Audi evolved its R18 during the winter, changing in particular ERS class (from 2 to 4 MJ). Le nouveau package aérodynamique a également donné entière satisfaction lors du Prologue. Dans le match à trois avec Porsche et Toyota, il ne faudra surtout pas négliger Audi ce week-end au royaume de sa Majesté.
