Le Mans – 7 a.m.: the No. 2 Audi alone against the Toyotas

While the three Audis were in the lead, the No. 1 R1 of Lotterer-Fässler-Tréluyer found itself stuck in the pits following an alternator problem. The reigning winners' LMP1 loses the lead in the race to the No. 18 R2 currently driven by Tom Kristensen. But the German prototype finds itself alone against the Toyota, the R18 n°3 of Marc Gené having suffered a puncture. The TS030s are one lap behind the leading crew.

Oak Racing retains control of the LMP2 with the No. 35 Morgan of Bertrand Baguette ahead of the No. 24 of Olivier Pla. The Jota Sport Zytek occupies third position. Aston Martin remains in struggle against Porsche n°92 by Richard Lietz. AF Corse remains at the head of GTE Am with the Ferrari n ° 55.
