Le Mans – AF Corse presents the trio of Ferrari n°55

Until next time 24 Hours of Le Mans, AF Corse will not only defend its victory in the GTE-Pro category, which it won last year thanks to the Ferrari 458 Italia GTE n°51 driven by Giancarlo Fisichella, Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander. The Italian team will also try to shine in the GTE-Am. To do this, it will enter two Ferraris, including the No. 55. On board, we will find two Italians, Piergiuseppe Perazzini and Lorenzo Casè, as well as the Hong Kong driver Daryl O'Young, enrolled in the WTCC for the rest of the year. Of the three men, only Casè will make his big debut this year during the Le Mans classic.

“The experience and skill of Darryl, Piergiuseppe and Lorenzo give us hope: we believe their car can do well in one of the most important races in the world. Perazzini and Casè are popular in Italy and Europe, O?Young is popular in Asia. We are sure that this crew will have many supporters”, estimates Amato Ferrari, the owner of AF Corse. “Since the last time I drove at Le Mans, in 2009, I have been hoping for an opportunity to return there”, explains Daryl O?Young. “We will be aiming for class victory and anything below that will be disappointing. This is going to be my first time racing in a Ferrari 458 GT2, but I'm sure I can adapt quickly to the car and I'm confident in its performance. I will give everything to achieve a good result and make China and Hong Kong proud in this legendary race.”
